WHAT YOU’LL DO Duties of a renovation manager Work with the Newchange Renovation architect teams to assist with the preparation of initial renovation budgets and develop renovation site activities. Support the renovation planning process, program statements, and renovation budget for home owner approval. Help the home owner choose bathroom and kitchen accessories, tiles, carpets and the like. manage the orders, delivery and timely installations kept home owners informed of what is happening. Sourced all materials and provide home owners with a range of options. Manage the entitlement process, including obtaining all planning/ zoning and other necessary city and state approvals. Coordinate bid-award activities for renovation contracts. Coordinate renovation by hiring, directing and coordinating activities of renovation partners. Provides consistent, timely, and reliable communication between all renovation stakeholders including clients, professional service providers, Newchange Renovation personnel, and contractors, to ensure renovations are thoroughly documented and understood. Maintain up-to-date reporting of renovation information. Conduct scheduled meetings to review renovation status and develop punch lists. Promulgate progress and resolves issues as they arise, during all phases of renovation. Manage and track design and renovation budgets. Manage the inspection processes and ensure the final product meets the scope and budget requirements as well as the Newchange Renovation design and quality standards. Administer renovation contracts such that all parties meet the obligations of the contracts. Manage 3rd party project delivery resources/team. Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members. Reviews and approves payments to design professionals, renovation contractors and other renovation-related vendors. Coordinates relocation of occupants as required for renovation. Evaluate contractors at renovation completion. Manage multiple renovation projects simultaneously and successfully within the demanding Newchange Renovation environment. Stay current with legislation, building codes, building materials and methods, and Newchange Renovation design and quality standards. Required qualifications Grad9 and NCV civil engineering and building construction level 3 to 4 or grade 12 and National Diploma from university in Civil engineering and building construction. Working knowledge of contract documents plans, specifications. Experience using Excel and Microsoft Word. Ownership of a vehicle and experience in site management will be an advantage. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Salary R6000.00 to R8500 depending on experience and qualification. Remuneration and bonus will be linked to renovation gone well and level of customer satisfaction with the renovation.
